The Manning Camerata is Britain’s new chamber orchestra. The Camerata is an entrepreneurial classical group, whose mission is to play a central role in regenerating the UK’s chamber orchestra heritage, by creating exciting and innovative musical events, increasing collaborations across the arts, sciences and humanities, promoting exceptional performance standards and exploring, presenting and commissioning British music.

The group is conducted by Artistic Director and founder, Peter Manning, who is well known to classical music audiences. Founder of the Britten String Quartet , he is also Concertmaster of The Royal Opera House and Artistic Director of The Soloists of The Royal Opera House and Artistic Director of Musica Vitae.

The international standing of its musicians enables the group to build links beyond Britain, to Europe and beyond, quickly propelling the orchestra onto the international stage. Plans are now being laid for the orchestra to explore Russia, China, Italy, France, Portugal, Ireland and Germany.
